Michael Kane was a contestant in Series 90 and a quarter-finalist in Series 91. He was an airport baggage security company team manager, from Manchester. He became an Apterite after his heats were broadcast.

He returned in January 2025 to resume his run in Series 91, where he won a further three games before being unseated by Mike Le-Surf. Those six wins and 607 points were ultimately just enough to make the series finals in June, where he qualified as the eighth seed and into the first quarter-final. Despite a valiant effort and managing to spot the conundrum GALLSTONE, he lost to Rhys Jones to officially end his run with 671 points from eight appearances.
