Rob Brydon was a contestant on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. He has been the host of Would I Lie to You? since 2009 and has done multiple acting and voiceover roles in his career, notably in Barbie and as Fred in Tabby McTat (BBC One Christmas Special) respectively in the year prior to his appearance on the show.
He is also the narrator of the current Specsavers sponsorship on the normal version of the show since 2023.
