Series 94 is the upcoming series of Countdown. It will commence on 29 June 2026, and will conclude in December 2026.
Notably, this series will abolish the long-standing "restaurant rule", meaning the plural forms of every mass noun will be rendered invalid, unless the ODP entry specifies a count noun sense. Prior to this change, plural forms of mass nouns were permitted on the basis that the dictionary entry denoted an item that could be ordered in multiple quantities in a restaurant, such as POLENTA and TIRAMISU.
Apterites that have appeared in the series to date include Karen Pearson (the rollover contestant from the previous series).
