Mo Mowlam was a guest on Countdown. A Labour MP, she brokered the Good Friday Agreement which effectively ended the Northern Ireland troubles. Diagnosed with a brain tumour in 1997, she retired from parliament in 2001. In 2002, she published her political memoir of Momentum.

She sadly passed away on 19 August 2005.
