Junior is a variant of Countdown. Whilst Hyper is an extended version, Junior is a pared-down version of the game.
Letters rounds
Letters selections contain 7 letters rather than the normal 9. Like regular Countdown, players only score double points for using all the letters, so 7-letter words are worth 14 points.
Numbers rounds
There is only one large number (10); smalls are 1—9. You are given 5 working numbers rather than 6, and the target is 11—100.
Conundrums
Answers are 7 letters and are generally common words.
