Laura Taylor in Series 51.
Laura Smyth (née Taylor) was a contestant in Series 51. She was originally a full-time teacher until 2021 when she switched to become a comedian under her married name. Subsequently, she appeared in an episode in 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown 20 years later in 2024 (although the episode itself was recorded two years prior).
In September 2021, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in which she had underwent treatment for six months before returning to the public eye. The effects of her treatment were visible in her Catsdown appearance in which she had lost her hair.
