Episode 1003 was broadcast on 2 November 2000, as part of Series 43, and was a special game to celebrate Countdown's 18th birthday.
Mark Nyman and Gyles Brandreth played Jo Brand and Damian Eadie with Mark and Gyles winning 50-46. There were no Dictionary Corner guests in this episode, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
