This was the first year in the show's history where Halloween was celebrated. To acknowledge the occasion, the entire studio was given a one-off makeover by being adorned with themed set props and orange, purple and green lighting. In addition, the cast were dressed up: Colin as his originally created character "Count Down", Rachel as "Marilyn Spunroe", Susie as "The Hexacographer", and Neil as "Frankenstein's Monster". The opening titles were edited to have the logo turn red after being struck by lightning. During the conundrum round, horror-themed sound bites accompanied the hallowed clock music.
