John Virgo was a guest on Countdown. He was a commentator for the BBC's coverage of snooker, who played the game professionally from 1976 to 1994. Alongside Jim Davidson, Virgo co-presented the game show, Big Break, that ran from 1991 to 2002.
His death was announced on 4 February 2026.
