Simon Pitfield was a contestant in Series 93. He was a retired English teacher and writer from Kings Heath, Birmingham. He was also noted to be a keen quizzer in his spare time, having reached the semi-finals of Brain of Britain in 2009-10, where he faced Anne Hegerty.
