Stephen Rooney was a contestant in Series 58. He was a a 41-year-old police officer from Merseyside. He had previously appeared on Fifteen-to-one (twice) in 2000 and The Weakest Link in February 2001.

Although his name plate said Stephen, he was referred to throughout his time on the show as Steve.
