Alex Call was a contestant in Series 90. He was from Swindon, and the founder/operator of his own books distribution company 'Bert's Books'. Before founding the former, he had previously spent 15-and-a-half years working for WH Smith, rising to Head of Promotions and latterly Head of Books Marketing before his departure.
