Penny Silva was a lexicographer on Countdown. She first appeared in Series 43.
She was the deputy editor of the Oxford English Dictionary, and appeared on the show to announce the change in dictionaries from the Concise Oxford Dictionary (COD) to the New Oxford Dictionary of English (NODE) on 26 June 2000.
