Andrew Barrett was a finalist in Series 87. He is a bandmaster from King's Lynn.
Barrett made his debut immediately after Cillian McMulkin became the first octochamp of 2023. Seeing off 6 opponents, Barrett lost his 7th game on a crucial conundrum, having led the match by 25 points. However his 6 wins saw him through to the finals, in which he was the No. 8 seed. In the first quarter-final match, he was eliminated by top-seeded Ronan Higginson but registered a very respectable score of 70, and also bowed out by spotting MUNICIPAL in the conundrum round. Barrett obtained a final total of 643 points.
