Anne Robinson is a guest on Countdown. At the time of her appearance on the show, she was a journalist, but is now most famous for hosting The Weakest Link for over 10 years.
On 15 February 2021, it was announced on Steph's Packed Lunch that Robinson will replace Nick Hewer as host of Countdown, following Hewer's departure. She will become the first female main host of "normal" Countdown, with Katherine Ryan having presented an episode of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Robinson will take over at the start of Series 84.
