Chris Packham played Charlotte Hawkins, with Charlotte Hawkins winning 37 – 32, in a 13-rounder. The Dictionary Corner guest was Jo Brand, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
Rachel Riley preselected the 1-large selection in Round 2, giving tips on common 1-large solutions beforehand. Jo Brand offered two-away solutions to both this and Round 9; Round 6's 723 solution, moreover, was provided by Susie Dent. Finally, in Round 12, Riley and Brand swapped places, so that the latter became the arithmetician; she then went on to make the 4-large selection here.
