Fern Britton is a guest on Countdown. She is a journalist and TV presenter, famous for hosting Ready Steady Cook and This Morning.

Notably, the gap between her first and second sets of appearances on the show were 19 years, 4 months and 27 days apart, then a record for Dictionary Corner, beating Carol Thatcher's record of 16 years, 1 month and 1 day, but later beaten by Stephen Fry's 20 years, 8 months and 24 days. One contributory factor to her return could be her narration of a 2019 documentary, Britain's Favourite Game Shows, which discussed Countdown.
