Laurie Silver was a quarter-finalist from series 6. Laurie won the first seven shows of the series, but was beaten in the eighth by Ian Lowe, and was thusly prevented from becoming an octochamp. Laurie returned for the final rounds as #3 seed, but lost in the quarter-final to Adam Gilinsky. Laurie was invited back for Championship of Champions II, and beat Julian Hough in the first round before losing to eventual winner Clive Freedman in the semi-final.
