Magnus Magnusson KBE (12 October 1929 – 7 January 2007) was a guest on Countdown. Originally an investigative journalist and translator, he rose to his greatest fame as question master of British TV's most prestigious quiz show, Mastermind, hosting the programme for 25 years from 1972 to 1997.
One of his daughters, Sally, was also a Dictionary Corner guest.
