Maurice Packman was a semi-finalist in Series 2.
He won only two heat games before losing to Philip Appleby but, with an impressive total of 136 points in three games, qualified for the 16-person finals. He then posted back to back scores of 57 in defeating Ingram Wilcox and then Dixie Baird to reach the semi-final. However, he was defeated by eventual champion Ash Haji in a low-scoring game that finished 41-35.
