Phil Wass was a quarter-finalist from series 46. He beat Brian Capper in his first appearance, and went onto win a further 5 shows to become a viscount with a points total of 570. Whilst this was the same total that would later be achieved by Ben Wilson during his viscount run, Phil was #2 seed and Ben was #1 by virtue of the fact that Ben had a higher individual score during the heats. In the quarter-finals, Phil was beaten by Brian Capper in a reversal of the result of their earlier heats game.
