Will D. Downing was a contestant in Series 29. He was a 27-year old payment processor and creative writer from Daventry, Northamptonshire. He also wrote a regular column for an American magazine on the subject of the British and American language, entitled The Anglo-file.
Will D. had a unique method of playing the game, involving individual letters written on torn up pieces of paper which he then shuffled around the desk in order to make words. Unfortunately, his innovation proved unsuccessful on the occasion of his televised game.
He has also appeared on, amongst many other game shows, Fifteen to One, Chain Letters, Cross Wits, The Krypton Factor and The Crystal Maze.
