COOT 08

COOT 08 was an online tournament, starting in June 2008. It was organised by Jon O'Neill and notably marked the return of Julian Fell to online games after a four-year hiatus. There were 22 entrants, so a preliminary round was held to eliminate six players. The remainder of the tournament followed the normal knock-out format.

Due to a strange bug in the CountGen application then used to generate selections, the letter O was absent from all letters rounds in the first four games in the tournament. This bug was rectified prior to the final Round 1 match.
