Episodes of Countdown broadcast on Saturdays. With the exception of Series 54, Countdown has aired Mondays to Fridays since Series 5. Series 1, 3 and 4 were broadcast Mondays to Thursdays, and Series 2 was broadcast Tuesdays to Fridays. Roughly half of Series 54 was broadcast Mondays to Saturdays. Only one episode, Episode 249, has ever aired on a Sunday.
