Catherine Clarke was a lexicographer on Countdown. She first appeared in Championship of Champions II.
Over a fifteen-year Countdown career, she made 283 appearances in Dictionary Corner.
She was infamous for wrongly disallowing Allan Saldanha's declaration of YOLKED in the Series 15 grand final. Despite this, she oversaw seven regular grand finals and two Championship of Champions finals as well as the Supreme Championship grand final.
Since leaving the OUP, Clarke is now a literary agent.
