Krishnan Guru-Murthy is a guest on Countdown. He is well known as a veteran broadcast journalist for Channel 4 News since 1998, which he has anchored since 2022. He also presents the long-running Channel 4 documentary series, Unreported World. Earlier in his career, he worked for the BBC for Newsround, Newsnight and as one of the launch presenters of the BBC News channel in 1997. He also presented the Channel 4 quiz show, Number One, in 2001 which preceded some episodes of Series 44 and 45 of Countdown.
