Lucas Glanville was a contestant in Series 89. He was an an economics student, originally from London but studying at the University of Edinburgh at the time of his appearances. He was also an Apterite, as well as a cryptic crossword solver.

Glanville debuted on 12 March 2024 against Alex Munro, winning with 111 points to Munro's 37. From here, he won a further 5 games, which included a personal best of 112 in his 4th game which also saw the only 9-letter-spot of his heats in DEVOTIONS, before being eventually comprehensively unseated by fellow Apterite Toby Byfield in his 7th game. With 607 points across his 7 games, and with so many people stringing together long win-streaks across the series, it ultimately wasn't enough for Lucas to qualify for the finals.
