Russell Turner

Russell Turner was a contestant in Series 17. He was a 31-year-old lorry driver from Hethersett, Norwich. Although he was convincingly beaten by Tim Morrissey in his sole appearance on Countdown in 1989.
He went on to greater success on Countdown's former sister show Fifteen to One, appearing eight times in all between 1989 and 2001, winning three episodes and appearing in three grand finals, coming runner-up in the second in December 2000.
