8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 3, Episode 1 was a special episode broadcast on 6 June 2014, as part of 8 out of 10 Cats Mash-ups Series 3.

8 Out of 10 Cats regulars Jon Richardson and Sean Lock were the contestants, along with Roisin Conaty and Jonathan Ross who were their teammates, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.

The match saw Jon Richardson, with the assistance of Jonathan Ross, winning by 54 – 21 in an 8-rounder.

Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician, and Joe Wilkinson helped her out from round 5 onwards. The Dictionary Corner guest was David O'Doherty, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
