Daniel unseated Sean Haughey on his debut, winning by 35 points, then followed this with back-to-back century scores. While he fell behind in the opening round of his fifth game, he ultimately escaped defeat by winning seven of the rounds. Daniel found good form in his 6th game, maxing 11 rounds, and spotted his first 9-letter word DETONATES during his 7th game. He wrapped up with a personal best of 123 in his 8th victory, which included his second 9-letter word IRRIGATED, to become the second octochamp in the first 16 episodes of Series 93.
