Alan Cameron was a contestant in Series 37. He was a 48-year-old singer from Bingley, West Yorkshire.
Famously he generated an out-take that was shown on A Tribute to Countdown: 3000 and Counting, exclaiming “well, bugger me” when Whiteley said he had the chance of points in Round 4.
On 29 September 2009, he got a rather sad poem read out on the show, explaining how he had broken his Countdown goody bag mug.
