There have been two major Countdown game formats known as the 15 round format:
- The "old" or "original" 15 round format (LLLLNLLLLNLLLNC), used from Series 46 (September 2001) to Series 68 (March 2013)
- The "new" 15 round format (LLNLLNLLNLLLLNC), used since Series 68 (March 2013)
- The "Masters" 15 round format, effectively 5 "legs" of LNC, one per day.
