Revision as of 15:30, 4 May 2023
Episode C10 was broadcast on 19 November 2019, as part of Series 2 of Celebrity Countdown.
Charlie Higson played Rufus Hound, with Rufus Hound winning 78 – 70, in a rearranged 14-rounder. The Dictionary Corner guest was Anna Richardson, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
Following on from her tips during the previous celebrity programme, Rachel Riley demonstrated and explained the four-large solution of James Martin in Round 4 of Episode 1962, then made the four-large selection for Round 2. She also selected four-large in Round 13, this time without conferring with the players as on the previous show.
NOTE 1: Hound was asked to declare his word first in Round 10, though it was longer than Higson's.
NOTE 2: Also in Round 10, Dictionary Corner's offering of cheerios ☓ is invalid as CHEERIO is listed in the ODP only as an exclamation, not as a noun or verb. [1] However, it has been included here for the purposes of maximum score calculation.
