Melanie 'Mel' Schilling was a guest on Countdown. She was a psychologist, life coach and relationship expert, perhaps best known for her work on Married at First Sight as a dating coach in Australia and the United Kingdom.
She was suffering from colon cancer at the time of her appearances, and then sadly died on 24 March 2026 after her Series 93 appearances. She became the first Dictionary Corner guest to pass away during a series they appeared in.
