8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 20 was a series of three special episodes that began on 31 July 2020 and ended on 14 August 2020. All episodes were recorded prior to the COVID-19 pandemic as evident by the lack of social distancing in the audience coupled with the fact that Rachel Riley was still pregnant with her first child for the first two episodes.

Based on the air dates over the last two years, there was supposed to have been an additional three episodes until 4 September. However, due to the aforementioned pandemic which triggered the first nationwide lockdown, filming for these episodes was unable to proceed and was replaced by 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown: Best Bits.

Joe Wilkinson also made a special appearance as a guest in Episode Cats128.

An episode of this series with a production code 70362/009 remains unreleased.
