Melanie 'Mel' Smith was a contestant in Series 91 and 92. She and her husband were co-directors of their own office property development company called 'Barbeque Lodges'. She was originally from Nottingham but is since of Taunton, Somerset. Smith made her debut with a crucial conundrum solve against one-time champion Mark Vince, and then won two further games while facing two further crucials before being placed aside for the end-of-series finals.
