Series 92 is the current series of Countdown. It commenced on 30 June 2025, and is expected to conclude on 19 December 2025.

Episode 8553 was broadcast five minutes earlier at 14:05 to accommodate the live practice of the 2025 British Grand Prix. This was also the first episode to use Teatime Teasers that vary in length, with the first consisting of nine letters whilst the second had eight. Since this episode, teasers have varied in length sporadically.

On 11 August 2025, 96-year-old Donald Elsom became the oldest contestant ever to appear on the show.

Apterites that have appeared in this series so far include David Holmes, Edward Ffitch, Brett Davids, Phil Stanton, Ben Hocking, Lju Lazarevic, Ciaran McCarthy, Mark Baker and Jyoti Madlani, with Jase Cullen due to make his return to the show on 1 October.
