Episode 1061 was broadcast on 20 September 1990, and was the first quarter-final of Series 20.
Derek Coombs played Denys Hollis, with Derek Coombs winning 69 – 10. The Dictionary Corner guest was Simon Williams, and the lexicographer was Simon Mason.
Hollis' 10 points is the lowest score in the finals stages of any series. However, it must be noted that Coombs' declaration of DOGMA in round 6 should have been disallowed as there was no M in the selection, making the correct final score 64 – 14.
