Clive Freedman played Andrew Perry, with Andrew Perry winning 71 – 43. The Dictionary Corner guest was June Whitfield, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent. Andrew got all maximums on the letters and dropped just 3 points on the numbers game to miss out on a perfect game.
