From Countdown
Revision as of 00:58, 6 January 2024 by The Doctor (talk | contribs)
Episode 2787 was broadcast on 6 June 2000, as part of Series 42.
Jim Ainsworth played Paul Beesley, with Jim Ainsworth winning 42 – 26. The Dictionary Corner guest was Ned Sherrin, and the lexicographer was Damian Eadie.
The recording of this programme was delayed due to the late running of Carol Vorderman's train. The train delay also delayed quarter-finalist David Ballheimer, who recalls the experience on The Countdown Page. To keep the studio audience entertained, this impromptu performance was given.
