The premise of the show was that every on-screen personality was black, thus replacing the usual cast with Trevor McDonald in the presenter's chair, Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon as the arithmetician, the Dictionary Corner guest was Marverine Cole, and the lexicographer was Lemn Sissay.

Both contestants were also black and played for the role of the challenger in the next episode.

Jodine Lawrence played Samuel Williams, with Jodine Lawrence winning 81 – 61.
