Episode CLAN2, billed as Celebrity Letters and Numbers Series 1, Episode 2 was a special episode broadcast on 9 October 2021 as part of Celebrity Letters and Numbers.
Aaron Chen, Alex Lee and Matt Okine were the contestants, while Michael Hing reprised his role as the host.
The match saw Aaron Chen winning by 42 – 38 – 25 and he won the 1983 edition of "A to B" section form the Oceaniapaedia encyclopedia.
Lily Serna was, as ever, the arithmetician. The Dictionary Corner guest was Carlo Ritchie, and the lexicographer was David Astle.
NOTE 1: In this version, three players competing with each other instead of traditional two. Also, this version notably uses a scoring system whereby all players receive points for each valid word or solution, even if beaten by their opponents (equivalent to them receiving their "raw scores").
NOTE 2: In Numbers Rounds of this version, players receive points for their declarations, even if the solutions for players' declarations were not provided in the show, assuming they were cut out from broadcasting to speed up the show. Also, player can get points if their solution leads to the result which not matches with the declared result, but it's still in scoring margin.
NOTE 3: In round 3, Aaron declared that he got "428 and a little bit" and give an unusual solution of (75 + 25) × 4 + 50 × 4 / 7 which equals to 428.5714... According to rule of using only natural numbers, he couldn't receive any points, but he still got 5 points, as he said that he got natural number of 428 in a more simple way after time runs out.
