8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 6, Episode 1 was a special episode broadcast on 3 May 2015, as part of 8 out of 10 Cats Mash-ups Series 6.
8 Out of 10 Cats regular Sean Lock and Sarah Millican (filling in for Jon Richardson) were the contestants, along with Bill Bailey and Rob Delaney who were their teammates, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.
Just before round 5, Carr brought out Paul Foot ("who has a maths degree from Oxford") and Romesh Ranganathan ("a former maths teacher who got no points on the numbers on his last show") along to help the teams out, with Millican choosing to take Ranganthan, giving Foot to Lock and Bailey.
The match saw Sean Lock, with the assistance of Bill Bailey and Paul Foot, winning by 54 – 13 in an 8-rounder.
Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician. The Dictionary Corner guest was Nina Conti, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
NOTE: In this version, both players' (from round 5, all 3 players') declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.
