Mr Countdown: A Tribute to Richard Whiteley was a documentary paying tribute to Richard Whiteley. When recordings of Countdown with stand-in presenters were scrapped following Richard's death, the various stand-in hosts and Dictionary Corner guests lined up for that week's filming, along with Carol Vorderman and Susie Dent, ended up recording tributes for this programme instead. Those contributing included Gyles Brandreth, Philip Franks, Rick Wakeman, Richard Stilgoe, Tim Rice and Richard Digance.
