McManus debuted on 25 October 2023 against Lor Brookfield, winning by 7 points with a score of 78 to Brookfield's 71 points. From here, McManus continued her gameplay, with a personal best of 101 in her fifth game. She ultimately secured her octochampdon with a total of 668 points, with her last game also seeing her spot the only nine of her run ORDINATES to become the first female octochamp since Florence Cappleman-Lynes in Series 84, at the time as the fifth seed for the end-of-series-finals.

McManus ultimately returned for a quarter-final against fellow mathematics teacher Ben Bazzard; the two remained evenly matched early on and both surprisingly missed relatively easy numbers round targets, but Bazzard eventually roared off into the distance to wrap up victory before the conundrum, which he solved to add to Caroline's defeat and end her unbeaten record. She ultimately finished with 61 points, and a final points tally of 729 from nine appearances.
