Championship of Champions XVII will air potentially from 4 to 22 January 2027, before the start of Series 95. It will feature the chosen finalists from Series 87 to 94.
This will be the first Championship of Champions tournament where most or all of the sixteen participants got anointed nicknames by the cast members, after becoming octochamps. And this will also be the first knockout tournament where all the participants' nameplates will only show their forename due to safeguarding reasons, as the rule came into place from 31 August 2026.
"The Gazelle" Patrick Thompson and "The T-Rex" Charlie Harrison will be featured in this tournament, as confirmed by Colin Murray at the end of the Series 93 grand final.
