Countdown in Rugby

From Countdown

Countdown in Rugby is a Countdown tournament that has taken place in the town of Rugby in the West Midlands since 2023. One has taken place to date, with a double-header scheduled for March 2024. Matthew S Rutherford has anchored each of them, the first of which he joint-hosted with Series 83 champion Adam Latchford. They have all taken place at the Rugby West Indian Association Social Club.

The inaugural Rugby tournament took place on 18 March 2023 as the fourth round of the 2023 FOCAL season, and consisted of 35 attendees. It was the first "Lincoln"-style co-event to incorporate four rounds instead of the conventional three, resulting in everyone playing eight games rather than six. It was won by Rob Foster.
