Jane McLeman played Maurice Daniels, with the game ending in a 41-all draw. The Dictionary Corner guest was Kenneth Williams, the lexicographer was Mary, and the arithmetician was Carol Vorderman.

NOTE: In Round 1, Dictionary Corner suggested TOADS although there was no T in the selection.

The conundrum scramble remained unrevealed until the clock had already been ticking for two seconds, due to Cathy Hytner not pulling the lever that revealed it until then.
