Darren Phipps-Walker played Matthew Chivers, with Matthew Chivers winning 70 – 66. The presenter was Colin Murray, the Dictionary Corner guest was Richard Arnold, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

NOTE 1: In Round 5, Dent did not pluralise HYALINE due to it meaning the same as HYALIN which is an uncountable mass noun. Murray then appeared to say HYALINES – perhaps inadvertently – when Dent had finished.

The solution for Round 6 was offered by Murray.

NOTE 2: Presumably by accident in Round 10, Chivers was asked to declare his word first despite declaring a longer word than Phipps-Walker. Additionally, Arnold also incorrectly stated that DECAMP was a seven when it was actually a six.
