Episode Cats12, billed as 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 3, Episode 2 was a special episode broadcast on 10 January 2014, as part of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 3.

8 Out of 10 Cats regulars Jon Richardson and Sean Lock were the contestants, along with Miles Jupp and Aisling Bea who were their teammates, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.

The match saw Jon Richardson, with the assistance of Aisling Bea, winning by 51 – 26 in a 9-rounder and they won a Countdown commemorative plague consisting of Jimmy, Sean and Jon's faces on it.

Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician, and Joe Wilkinson helped her out from round 5 onwards. The Dictionary Corner guest was Nick Helm, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

NOTE: In this version, both players' declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.
